Smudging with sage regularly will cleanse the space, attract good spirits, eliminate negative energies and attract positive energies.
The sacred ritual of purifying with smoke (smudging) comes from many indigenous peoples around the world. When moving into a new home or work space, we want to remove any negative energies that may be previously lingering within the home, and also appease the spirits on the outside.
To use, light the smudge stick at the tip of the leaves and allow to burn for 5-10 seconds. Gently blow on the embers to create smoke and gently wave the stick in the air, moving between rooms that you wish to cleanse. After use, gently extinguish the smoke in sand or a small bowl of water. Store in a dry place for future use.
