Quartz is also known as rock crystal. It is the most powerful healing stone able to work on any and all conditions and is specifically use to amplify energy from other stones. Quartz should be cleansed before use and can be done by leaving it in salt for a few hours before rinsing and using it and storing on selenite. Quartz is said to:

Quartz is a mineral that is commonly formed in igneous rocks (or volcanic rocks) as magma cools. It can also less commonly be found and formed in sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. The quartz crystals form inside rocks as silicon dioxide crystallises as it cools within the rock. Slow cooling generally allows the crystals to grow larger, and faster cooling means that the crystals won't have as much time to grow, so will be smaller.
