Our citrine free form pillars are of the highest crystal quality and composed entriely of natural citrine. Much citrine on the market is man made where the quartz goes through chemical processing to obtain the yellow citrine colour, however, this is not the case for our citrine pillars. Citrine is known to be associated with positivity and optimism and is often used to assist in manifesting wealth and opportunities. It is believed to bring the following benefits:

As citrine is a form of amethyst, it is formed in much the same way, except has been exposed to more light than amethyst, causing the purple colour to turn yellow. Citrine is a naturally occurring mineral made up of silicon dioxide (SiO2), a variety of quartz.
Natural formation of citrine requires a number of specific chemical, thermobarometric and physical conditions, usually formed in both extrusive and intrusive igneous rocks (volcanic rocks), but can also be found in metamorphosed rocks, hydrothermal veins, rocks deposited by hot springs, and even some sedimentary rocks.
Geologically, citrine forms where hot silica-enriched water seeps through and is deposited in a cavity within a rock. Inside, small quantities of ferric iron (
Fe³+) that have been exposed to trace amounts of natural gamma radiation, will allow iron to lose an electron and change in colour to purple, and then yellow if light is present. If you look closely at citrine crystals, you can probably see that the tips of the crystal are generally darker than the bases - caused by the iron mix in the water changing as the crystal slowly grows.
